Published on December 12, 2024 in News
Within the framework of the II National Congress of the Semiconductor Industry ChipNation, held in Valencia and organized by the Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI) and the Valencia Silicon Cluster (VASIC), important steps have been taken towards the consolidation of the Spanish microelectronics and semiconductor ecosystem.
One of the highlights of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the 17 PERTE Chip Chairs, including the one represented by Francisco Ballester, director of the UPV-VaSiC Chair. This agreement reinforces the commitment of joint collaboration to face common challenges, develop innovative projects and enhance the competitiveness of the sector globally. The Councilor for Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism, Marián Cano, also participated in the inaugural event, underlining the importance of “weaving strategic alliances” and highlighting this recent collaboration signature to foster growth and cooperation in the sector.
“This event represents a unique opportunity to continue training talent, intensify collaboration between academia and industry and consolidate a competitive ecosystem, ready to lead the challenges of the future,” said the conference organizers.
ChipNation 2024 consolidates itself as a forum for the development of semiconductors in Spain, bringing together leading professionals and reaffirming the country’s commitment to innovation and technological excellence.
